ACTIVITIES |
A. Go to "The International Lyrics server" and choose a song that is popular with the students. (There are many mores lyrics sites, but this is one of the easiest). B. Copy the lyrics and paste them on to a page of your favorite desktop publishing program (Ex. : ClarisWorks, Wordperfect, etc.). Arrange the size and fonts to make the text more visually appealing. C. Delete specific words from the text, placing blank spaces instead. The deleted words can be placed hapharandly on the page using the vectorial mode. Note : For added incentive, use your favourite web-search devise and type in the name of the singer or group. This will give you a wide selection of images which can be copied onto your page. It is even possible to include brief video clips if you have the necessary programs. D. As students listen to the song (either on a cassette or by placing a CD in the CD-rom slot), they are to drag the words to their appropriate spots. An answer sheet could be provided to verify their responses. |
